Healthy Thanksgiving Turkey Recipe

9 Days until Thanksgiving!

The bird is the most fundamental part of a Thanksgiving dinner, so when you’re the one responsible for preparing it, you want to make it as flavorful as possible.  Cooking a turkey is actually much easier than it seems, and if you’re like me & like to play with your food, it’s pretty fun to pull the neck & giblets out also! (Just kidding, kinda…)

  • One (9-12lb.) thawed turkey
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp. freshly ground paper
  • 5 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 5 fresh thyme sprigs
  • Italian parsley leaves from 3 stalks
  • 2 Tbsp. sage
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano

  1. Remove rosemary, thyme & Italian parsley leaves from 3 of the stalks
  2. Mix the olive oil, sea salt, pepper, rosemary leaves, thyme leaves, Italian parsley leaves, sage & oregano in a small bowl
  3. Follow cooking instructions and cooking time guide on the turkey package
  4. Rub the turkey with the olive oil & herb mixture
  5. Place the 2 remaining stocks of both rosemary & thyme in between the legs of the turkey IMG_3639
  6. Bake until cooked through yet juicy and the skin is light golden in color
  7. Switch the oven to broil & cook on broil for 3 minutes until the skin is crispy & browned

Made with Love

Enjoy with your friends & family at a joyous Thanksgiving celebration
